well then...

I have been MIA.  But, have created a couple things.
Card for my son's 35th birthday (jeepers, he's old!).  He does leather work and has been making wallets of late.  Thought I'd make one for him.

Stamped, embossed his initials and cut them out.

Then for the inside, I made a pocket to put his gift.
I outlined it in black pencil to look like stitching.  The stamps are from Stampin Up!

Then I made this ATC for Sherri.  She won't get it until next week sometime.  So, if she reads this she will know what's coming.

I have loved the image of this Very Happy Child ever since I saw it!!!  Just had to use it!
So, Sherri, if you see this post...  All I have to say is that it is better than these pics, HA!

Also to Redanne.  Thank you, Sweet Angel, for inquiring about me!  Just took a, well, I dunno... break I guess.  Hard to explain.  Don't mean to be vague just dealing with a lot of stuff and not creating like I'd so rather be doing.  I know y'all understand.

XO

  1. Hi Kathryn, so glad to see you back and yes, I do understand and know exactly what you mean. Love the wallet for your Son (mine is 44 this year so I understand - lol - we obviously both married very young!). The ATC is delightful, that image is just gorgeous, that was a great find, it really warms the heart to see a child laugh like that. Take care my lovely friend......thinking of you. Crafty hugs, Anne x

  2. This is a great, masculine card! I love the sort of leathery feel to it and smiled when you mentioned that he works with leather!

  4. Love the happy child! That kid totally made me laugh when I saw him. Look at that ATC with all the intricate detail sticking out all over. So cool. The wallet is fabulous and looks very dimensional. I'm impressed you had the patience to draw in the stitching. I would have thrown in the towel partway in.

  6. Oh, I'm so glad I've been busy with "real" work (ha!) and haven't been cruising the blogosphere: I did NOT see my darling ATC until I opened my package o'goodness, so it was an extra-sweet surprise. I love it so--just too wonderful! Blog hugs across the Interwebs...
