GC77: Haute Couture

I've always loved this picture!  I colored it with colored pencils, used some vintage hemming lace and stamped the paper flowers with green ink.  Still giggle everytime I see this one.
Thanks for looking!

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday!

My new purchases for Halloween projects!

 Mini Pumpkins!

Glass Pyrex lab bottles!  Got the two small ones for 25 cents each and the large one for 7 bucks!
Creepy family portrait.  Why?  Look closer, dearies...
Maybe a lost love one they wanted included in the picture???  A ghost???
Won't this cutie look good sitting on a pumpkin?
A stem of halloween colors.
STAMPS!!!
Candy Corn Kitty doll.  (don't know why the pic is sideways)  Found this cutie in a store with lots of other primitive Halloween dolls.  Sadly, she was made in China.  Aaarrggh.  Of course she was designed here but the tag doesn't say by whom.
Blogger has changed the way we download, yet again.  Wish they would settle on something!

Anyway.  After my trip to Pennsylvania this past weekend, I'm ready to get back to creating!!  I have to work early today, that is why I am loading this now.  Check you chicks later!
Hugs and Happy Wednesday!

I'm Baaacckkk!

Wow!  I've been back almost a month and haven't stopped moving since!  Here are a couple of the things I've managed to turn out.

Card and T-shirt for my grandson, Grey, who wanted a bull riding birthday, bless his cowboy heart!

Funny joke birthday card for Aunt Joyce who says she makes her (wonderful) fudge without love, HA!

I have made (and stressed over) many more cards for my first magazine submission.  I'll post them when I'm allowed.  Keeping fingers crossed!!!!

New Grandbaby and a whole lotta work done!

For my brother.  An easy way to make a wood grain background is to drag the edge of a stamp pad across the paper.  To make knot holes, take the corner of the stamp pad and free hand circles and drag the edges of them.  The measuring tape is just one of mine I copied on the copier and distressed.  The silver nails are just stamped in versamark with a pencil eraser and heat embossed with silver powder.
The inside of the card, same "wood" background, printed words and a real coffee cup stain.  Taped with masking tape, of course.

So, I'm off to Texas in the morning to meet my third grandson!!  I won't be posting until I get back in three weeks but I'll be checking in with all my lovely bloggy friends!!!
Hugs!
